Communication Design is where imagination, technology, and human experience collide. As brands, products, and environments become increasingly digital, the communication designer leads the charge in designing engaging interactions, visually stunning narratives, and seamless user journeys across platforms. This is not just design— this is crafting unforgettable experiences in an AI-driven world.
At NSAM, the Communication Design programme is for visionaries who want to master the technology and creativity shaping tomorrow. Affiliated to Swami Vivekanand University (UGC Approved) and partnered with Milan Institute of Fashion (IMB Burgo ), NSAM empowers you with advanced digital skills, deep industry exposure, and mentorship from creative leaders. If you see yourself designing the interfaces, immersive environments, digital visuals, and AI-powered experiences that define the next generation, this course is your launchpad.

Absolutely not! This is the #1 fear we hear. “Creative Coding” in design isn’t about writing complex algorithms for banking apps; it’s about using code to create art, interactive visuals, and filters. We teach this from scratch, specifically for visual learners. If you can draw, we can teach you to code your art to life.
To be honest, yes, a good laptop is highly recommended for this specific course. You will be working with AR/VR rendering, 3D modeling, and AI tools that require strong processing power. However, if you don’t have one immediately, don’t panic. Our Immersive Labs are equipped with high-end AI workstations and the right hardware for you to use on campus. We also provide the necessary software licenses (Adobe, etc.) for your learning
We prioritize your potential over your history. Admission is based on our in-house Eligibility Aptitude Test. We want to see how you think and create. Bonus: Scoring well on this aptitude test can actually earn you a fee discount. We recommend visiting the campus to take the test and chat with a mentor.
While we don’t have an on-campus hostel yet, we have a dedicated support desk to help you find safe, verified student housing nearby in Kharghar. We have a list of trusted hostels that many of our students use, so you’ll be in good company.
Design principles are universal. While you master technology here, the certification from Milan Institute proves you also understand world-class aesthetics and design theory. It gives your resume a “Global Design” stamp that distinguishes you from someone who just learned software from YouTube.
No, and the salary difference proves it. “Graphic Design” usually refers to 2D static images (logos, posters). Communication Design at NSAM covers UI/UX (App design), Motion Graphics, AR/VR experiences, and Spatial Computing. You are training for the Tech & IT sector (Google, Accenture, Byjus), where starting salaries are significantly higher than traditional print media.
Quite the opposite—it makes you more valuable. The industry is desperate for “Creative Technologists” who know how to control AI, not just fear it. We teach you to use tools like Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, and Figma AI to speed up your workflow. You won’t be replaced by AI; you will be the expert hired to manage it.
